About the office

Our mandate

The Advancement Office is a strategic unit operating under the Office of the Vice Chancellor at Makerere University.

It was established as the central coordinating body for alumni engagement, institutional advancement, stakeholder engagement, resource mobilisation, and strategic partnerships.

The office collaborates with all University units to streamline stakeholder relationships, transform ad hoc engagements into structured partnerships, and leverage the University’s networks for sustainable institutional growth.

Through partnerships, alumni engagement, and strategic collaboration, we create opportunities that support the entire Makerere community and contribute to national development.
