Makerere University Explores Expanded Partnership with Stanbic Bank to Advance Innovation and Investment
The engagement reaffirmed the long-standing relationship between the two institutions and provided an opportunity to explore how academia and the financial sector can work together to unlock opportunities for students, staff, alumni, and the broader Ugandan community.
Makerere, Southwest Minzu University and NARO Forge Strategic Partnership to Advance Livestock Research and Innovation
The proposed partnership builds on an earlier study visit by NARO to Southwest Minzu University, where discussions identified opportunities to introduce high-quality goat breeds with superior genetic traits for crossbreeding with indigenous Ugandan breeds.
Strengthening Capacity and Shaping Policy: Makerere University Reviews Progress of MERIT and Environmental Risk Research Programs
The MERIT Project, focusing on Environmental Risk Management and the Increasing Extremes and Uncertainty, is a five-university collaboration funded by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) under the Norwegian Programme for Capacity Development in Higher Education and Research for Development (NORHED) programme.
Makerere University, Psalms Food Industries Sign MoU to Advance Research, Innovation and Student Employability
The agreement, signed at the Vice Chancellor's Boardroom, brings together Makerere University's academic expertise and research capacity with the practical experience of one of Uganda's growing food processing companies. The partnership is expected to create opportunities for collaborative research, student internships, industrial training, knowledge exchange and innovation, while contributing to national development.
